DAY 1: OPENING
SESSION
Monday, January 28
7:00pm - 9:00pm overview presentation and participatory exercises
- Aerial and
ground level photography exhibits, worksheets
- Participatory
exercises
- Opportunity
for members of DVCC and interested citizens to meet and discuss
how a vision plan can be prepared for the preservation, enhancement
and future evolution of the Village of Dayton.
- Chareet
process outlined (Community Design Workshop process)
- Ground rules
and goals
- Findings
from the participatory exercises will be discussed
DAY 2: DESIGN WORKSHOP/STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS/BENCHMARKING
TOUR
- Tuesday,
January 29 9:00am - 9:00pm
- Set-up the
design workshop
- Guide a
walk through the community core area identifying key issues with
members and other stakeholders
- Benchmarking
tour (by bus) to visit real life examples of the type of public
spaces, activities, streetscapes, pedestrian/bicycle safety improvements,
histoic and new buildings that can be emulated or avoided in Dayton.
Benchmarking
tour to include: Monmouth Junction, Kingston, Rocky Hill and Plainsboro
Village Center
7:00pm Pin-up Review of design ideas - please feel free to drop-in
DAY 3: DESIGN
WORKSHOP
Wednesday,
January 30 1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Focus for day 3 will be key properties with a
focus on the Stover, Russell and the Fresh Ponds parcels and other
identified by the residents.
- Design and produce detailed plans and images
for the Vision Plan.
- Evening recap and pin-up review on preliminary
concepts.Public invited for comment and feedback.

DAY 4: DESIGN WORKSHOP/CLOSING PRESENTATION & FEEDBACK SESSION
