Seed
and Plant Catalogue Festival: Date in February TBA, is held at
the South Brunswick Library. The South Brunswick Garden Club, hosts a TEA and SEED/PLANT CATALOGUE DISCUSSION. This is
now a tradition and a great event--we learn a lot. Thanks to Art Lee, Chair of
the SB Garden Club, organizing a series of lectures.
March
This year the world famous Philadelphia
Flower show theme is all about celebrating Springtime in Paris. Join us on March
7th 2011 for a tour of the flowershow. We toured the Philadelphia
Flower Show in 2010 and, as in past years, had a grand time. Hope
you can join us next year. Some of us visited the flower show three times
in one week!!

Planting
the Triangle and Wetherill Herb Gardens -come see the daffodils and
pansies there.
Eagle Scout
candidate Brian Del Guercio completed a Victorian Garden Room at the Slack-Carroll
House in 2006! It became a part of the Grandma's Lotions and Potions Exhibit.
Each year we replant the annuals and add to the perennials.

e-mail your ideas to info@daytonvillage.org. Some of the locations under consideration include Peony Envy in Bernardsville, Longwood Gardens, Waldorf Orchids in South Jersey, among others.
Annual
neighborly picnic. Date TBA. Picnic is held from 1:30 to
4:30 p.m. Location: Wetherill house, 269 Georges Road, Dayton, NJ. In 2010 the terrific band, Stronger than Dirt, performed.
EXHIBITS
Some of the exhibits and events have included Algonkian fancy baskets
and birchbark; Doctors of Dayton; Lotions and Potions; and Crossroads
of the Revolution, and now our mosquito projects.

Fall planting of local public spots are planned.

Holiday festivities 2010
will be held at the Slack-Carroll House and at the Five Corners
on December 5, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. for hanging ornaments. The
scouts hung natural ornaments on trees (as bird feeders). From 4:30 onward, the singing and gathering at the tree in Henle Park at the Five corners begins. Frosty the Snowman will make a grand entrance right before the tree lighting at dusk. After the tree lighting, all will go to the Dayton Presbyterian Church Fellowship hall for refreshments.
Thanks for the volunteers who prepared the refreshments of
hot cocoa, other beverages, and cookies and snacks. To see photos from
